Couldn't wait to try out stenciling, so I strayed from the specific recipes in the class and made a 3lb loaf of standard white bread. I let the dough rise in a well floured circular banneton. Scored a square around the stenciling to avoid splitting over the decoration. Baked in a preheated Dutch oven (lid on for the first 10-15 mins, removed from the dutch oven after 20 min to finish browning/baking). I started with an open square template and dusted flour to create the square background. Then I used the floral template and dusted with cocoa.
