Quilting: Candy Squares Quilt

Candy Squares Quilt

A Charming, Zero-Calorie Treat

rating
9 reviews

Candy Squares couldn't be a simpler quilt to make! All nine patches are stitched with ease. The best part is that there is hardly a scrap of fabric left over from the kit; nearly everything is used in this one quilt. This is such a fun way to play with a Charm Pack! The workshop includes the pattern, detailed instructions and photos along with the layout suggestions. I'll be here to help if you get stuck so let's get stitching on some of those "zero calorie" candy squares! They're such a treat.

Good charmed!  September 16, 2013

This workshop is exactly what I expected. when I ordered the fabric I knew what I was getting and what to expect. I used the charm pack, exchanged the white fabric for a mottled black (white doesn't go well at our house) and I love the results. By adding some additional black I had enough charm squares to add two more rows to the top and the side so by the time I finish (after adding a border) the quilt will be queen sized. I am using the beautiful white fabric to make even more beautiful ...

Excellent Exactly what I expected  September 6, 2013

This workshop is great. I fully read all of the details before purchasing the workshop and got exactly what was intended. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand. Fabric kit arrived on time and packaged well with very little pressing needed. Instructor has answered questions quickly and with good advice. The pattern is traditional and not a huge challenge; I find it great practice for matching intersections. The colors are beautiful, fun, bright, and happy. I am enjoying a ...

Good Quick and colorful  September 5, 2013

I loved the colors , so signed up for the workshop. It was an easy project and is a nice and bright result. Since the 9 patch had so many pairs, I sewed 2 piece sets first (white and a color), for speed and then moved to building the block , adding in the final color patch. I have finished piecing the top but need more batting to go any further. It was fun! I ordered another Fosil charm pack and will use it try a different pattern - hope it works as well as this one did.

Excellent Fun, easy quilt!  September 4, 2013

This quilt top is just as advertised - an easy quilt to put together with fun colors! I've enjoyed it and am anxious to finish it up and quilt it. Nancy's directions are easy to follow and she's available for questions.

Poor No mystery, this is a beginner's project  September 4, 2013

Not what I expected from a Craftsy class. The kit and written directions could have been sent together. Had I known it was Irish Chain, I would not have bought. Nice colors, but class fee too high for what you get.

Good Fun!  September 3, 2013

Well written, easy to follow pattern for a first time quilter.

Having the instructor around to answer questions makes the whole thing go so much more smoothly.

And working on the same project as the group makes it even more fun!

Okay Not a true mystery project....  September 2, 2013

When I signed up for this class, I thought it was going to be a true mystery quilt project. To me, a mystery is a project with hints throughout and gives you steps to complete but you don't know what it is going to look like until the last step or hint. This project was a mystery until you were able to access the project. When I accessed the project, there was a picture of the finished project and all the instructions. No mystery there. It is a nice project and that's why I didn't give it ...

Poor DISAPPOINTED  September 2, 2013

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS WORKSHOP! YOU COULD HAVE SENT THE DIRECTIONS WITH THE FABRIC AND CALLED IT A KIT!!! I'M NOT SURE WHAT I EXPECTED , BUT, THIS WASN'T IT.THE PATTERN ITSELF IS VERY MUNDANE! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I WASN'T PLEASED WITH CRAFTSY.
