Meet Nelson - an Amigurumi Owl! Amigurumi is just a fancy name for crocheted (irresistible and adorable) stuffed animals. And if you can single crochet, then you can make a stuffed animal...they're not too difficult!
In this Workshop, I'll walk you step-by-step through making this delightful owl(mine's named Owl, but you can call yours whatever you'd like). If you have not yet tried amigurumi, you'll learn all of the skills you need to make almost any amigurumi that you lay your eyes on! Crochet with me and I'll show you how to work in the round, tips for counting, how to attach pieces, some tips for stuffing, and more.
My workshop owl is made with worsted-weight yarn, but I encourage you to be creative! This pattern doesn't call for a specific gauge; as long as you use a crochet hook that suits your yarn, you can use any weight yarn you'd like. Talk about a great way to use leftover yarn.
I hope you'll join me in learning the tips and techniques for making awesome amigurumi. One warning though: once you start, you may not want to stop!
