The Retro Chic Apron combines retro nostalgia with urban flair. Today's flirty fabrics make this apron a blast to sew and fun to wear. You will want to make one for yourself, your family, and your friends!
Sew along with me as I share simple techniques that will unravel sewing mysteries such as attaching bias tape and rickrack. Improve your sewing skills, learn to finish seams like a pro and make your apron a handmade treasure. This workshop includes the full pattern for a vintage-inspired apron that is flattering on a wide range of figures. You'll also get step-by-step photographs, printable instructions, a professionally drafted PDF pattern and access to discussions, tips, questions and more!
This project works best with 100% quilting weight cotton. With so many fabric options available, you can create many unique looks by switching up trims and fabric combinations.
The pattern contains PROFESSIONALLY DRAFTED PATTERN PIECES that are tiled for printing. Included also are professionally drafted directions for assembling the pattern tiles. This is not a just hand-drawn pattern, but includes detailed instructions and lots of color pictures to guide you through each step.
The Retro Chic Apron fits sizes 2-14 but can be modified slightly for larger sizes. Finished apron is approximately 28 inches (71.7 cm) long with two 29 inch (73.7 cm) waist ties.

For me, sewing was instinctive. My mom loves to sew and both of my grandmothers were extremely talented with all types of sewing. When I was very young, I naturally headed to my mom?s sewing scraps and started making doll clothes. At age 12, I received an inexpensive Singer sewing machine for Christmas. After that, I was making almost all of my clothes. As they say, "The rest was history."
