Good Great workshop!  April 12, 2014

When I saw this dress I absolutely had to make it. I like the navy, aqua, orange color combination and also that the fabric was part of the sew along. The pattern is relatively easy to make.

The printed pattern pieces are tedious to put together and it does take a while. I find cutting knit fabric from stiffer printer paper less-than-ideal. I would recommend tracing the pattern on to pattern paper or Swedish tracing paper for easier, more precise cutting. It's an extra step but ...

Good Cute pattern, not for first timers!  November 15, 2013

I like the pattern very much. It makes up fast & easy. It is comfortable & quite flattering. The length of the skirt & sleeves, as well as the coverage at the neck & cleavage, makes it a GREAT transition piece for Fall & Spring.

The instructions were confusing, the photos minimal. I'd hate to think a first time knit sewist would get a hold of this. Thank goodness someone called the waist color detail a "flap". This part made me go, "Huh"? until I read the comments. This goes to show ...

Good Beginners? Really?  November 15, 2013

I liked the design and the result. But the instructions were a little sparse and there really weren't enough pictures.
If you're selling this as suitable for beginners en you really need to cater for them.

Excellent Classy Dress  November 6, 2013

I loved this class. I am over 50, so I was not sure how this would look.
but no worries at all, it is a well fitting pattern. Looks great.
I did shorten the navy blue before I put on the orange just because I am 5 foot 2 and I liked the length better. Casual enough for lunch out , or classy enough to meet with Bridal clients. Hope there will be more like this class. I have been sewing for more than 40 years, and this was so much fun.

Excellent Love!  November 3, 2013

This was a great dress to make. I really enjoyed the pattern and the workshop. The tips and seeing the various comments made this a lot of fun to do. I will be making this dress again soon. Soon as next weekend!

Average Great Dress - Tough Fabric  October 31, 2013

Throughout this workshop I found it necessary to keep reminding myself what "workshop" meant. Unlike the Craftsy courses I am accustomed to that have videos, discussions and detailed instruction, this workshop required the hands on learning that can become frustrating when sewing, particularly with a tricky knit fabric. Workshops normally provide content driven by the group via questions & answers, but I can see how a novice sewer that attempted the workshop before there was much useful content ...

Okay Cute dress but confusing instructions...may be a frustrating experience for beginners  October 30, 2013

I like the dress design and colour combination -it's really cute. It's also a nice fit.

I am newer to sewing but have already made a few garments and found the workshop instructions created unnecessary confusion which could have been alleviated by providing more clarity, detail & relevant task supportive pictures.

I also noticed that the workshop recommends the sew with knits essential course to learn more and am also going through that course as well and would recommend ...

Average My little black dress.  October 28, 2013

I used my own trim on the sleeves and neck and no band at the bottom. I liked the design of the pattern and will use it again. I liked the seam going down the back, so you can fit it in at the waist. I will make this up again. It was a nice quick dress. The fabric was a little light weight for me and in my opinion would work better for leggings. It had a really nice both way stretch to it. The fabric rolled and was hard to work with.

Average Easy pattern, fun to complete!  October 22, 2013

This was a pretty easy pattern to follow. I cut it out one night and basically finished it the next day (except for the hem and sleeve bands). I started out on the sewing machine but the fabric kept getting lost in my presser foot so I switched to the serger.

Honestly a serger and pins are your bestfriends with this project. There is much talk of ironing in the directions and I LOVE to iron, however, I was happy to be able to skip the ironing on most steps due to the work of the ...

Average Great Pattern, Instructions are Lacking  October 19, 2013

I liked the fabric sent and loved the pattern - the finished dress is comfortable and flattering. However, the instructions for this class aren't great. If I were a beginner, I am not sure I would have been able to finish the dress with only the instructions provided. My finished dress:

Super cute dress. It fits great. The tutorial could use some additional pictures. I felt like it was written for the more advanced sewer, not a beginner. not sure the link works. But here is my dress :)

Good Nice Knits  October 16, 2013

This dress is super cute, and it did come together in a short amount of time. I wish there had been more detailed instructions for me, since I am new to sewing clothes. More pictures too. Other than a little confusion for me, I did get it together and love it. The details on working with knit fabric in general were very good.
