Interested in learning to quilt? Been wanting to try a Lemoyne star quilt block, but feeling intimidated by y-seams or hand stitching? Or, maybe you just need a fabulous hand-made housewarming gift? With this fun quilting Workshop, you can do it all without worrying about getting stuck along the way.
In this Workshop, I'll show you how to machine sew your star together and then turn it into a lovely quilted trivet - using step-by-step pictures and instructions. And, if you get stuck or need help, just ask me! I'm happy to answer your questions and share tips all along the way.
Now, all you have to worry about is choosing some fun fabrics for your star! Go with geometric prints to get some movement in the block. Choose contrasting colors to make the star points sparkle.

Hi! My name is Yahaira Ferreira. I learned to knit and sew while in graduate school and haven't stopped since! As the author of two knitting books, Sensual Knits and Pure Knits, I've been part of the crafting world for many years. Due to a bout with carpel tunnel, I've turned my focus from knitting to sewing, and recently designed my own line of handbags, clutches, and coin purses.
Ever get stuck on a pattern because it's wrong or confusing? What if you could ask an expert for help?
Now you can! Craftsy Workshops are tutorials from amazing designers that include the pattern, instructions, and step-by-step photos. And, the BEST part: you'll never get stuck...just ask the pattern designer for help!
