Family Tree Wall Art

Embroider & Appliqué an Heirloom

This fun heirloom project, incorporating a variety of crafty techniques, is all about you and yours! It's not only a great solo project, but it's also a great project to work on as a group for an extra special occasion such as a bridal or baby shower!

In this workshop, you will learn basic transfer, embroidery stitches, and simple machine appliqué. Throughout every step of this project, your designer Kirstyn Cogan will send you on a treasure hunt to add sentimental buttons, pieces of fabric worn by special family members, and anything else you can imagine to create a truly one-of-a-kind family keepsake.

Kirstyn will guide you each step of the way and answer questions if you get stuck. If you know how thread a needle, tie a knot, use a glue gun, and sew straight and zigzag stitches on your sewing machine--you are ready to go. So, let's get going -- have some fun and make YOUR "Family Tree" as a lovely piece of wall art!
