I did not start creating jewelry in the beginning. I started working with beads because I wanted to bead a pair of shoes in the style of the Peranakan (Malay and Chinese mix heritage) women who live in the South East Asian region. They have the most beautiful colors and designs and I wanted a pair of my own. Once I made the first pair, then a second, then a third. Then I discovered other kinds of beads and other methods of putting the beads together. You can say from then on there was no stopping me.
