I started sewing years ago as a child. My mother taught me to use her sewing machine. I didn't immediately fall in love with sewing but I was pretty good at it. I started sewing years ago as a child. My mother taught me to use her sewing machine. I didn't immediately fall in love with sewing but I was pretty good at it. I never had much exposure to quilting even though one of my grandmothers quilted pretty regularly. In my early 20's I received a small, basic Kenmore sewing machine. It sat around for a couple of years until a friend asked me if I could make a quilt (This was really the start of my quilting obession). I had never made a quilt before but figured I could try my hand at it. It was full of miss matched corners but it was a solid quilt. Since then I have completed several quilts with this year being my most productive. I found a quilt shop home and have projects coming out my ears. I love using my talent to make gifts for my friends and family. I'm currently trying my hand at designing projects because I've designed several of my own quilts.
