Everything I know, I learned from my mom. She taught me to sew, paint, hang wallpaper, decorate, but mostly not to be afraid to try something new! An artist herself, my mom taught me how to use color, wrapping a room in a warm bright yellow or cooling it down in shades of blue. Since my adolescent years, I have always tried any trendy craft idea including macrame (remember those crazy plant hangers!?!?), stained glass, decorating wedding cakes, crocheting, knitting and sewing quilts and clothing. If there is a craft out there, I need to learn it and do it til I get it right.
