I started quilting in 2000 after a visit to a quilt show at a local church. I was so impressed with the quality and beauty of the quilts on show I wondered if I could do it. I have been a sewer since school, mainly clothes and house hold items, so I bought a few books and a couple of magazines and had a go. Ha! not so simple. After a few disasters and quite a few years later I managed to get my head around it and have now produced some acceptable specimens. I am now branching out into free motion quilting as all my previous efforts have been either in the ditch or just straight lines. Unfortunately there are no groups to join in my immediate location so I garner much advice and example from the online community which I find most helpful.
I am really enjoying the Craftsy forum learning from the courses I have signed up to and other quilters.
