Baking is my thing! I started baking at the age of 16. My first baking experience was in a commune where I was chosen to be the baker despite never having baked before. My grandma was a great baker, her pies & apple dumplings were to die for & everything came fresh from her garden, w/ some help from her chickens. My mom rarel baked & never after my 8th birthday. I was trained briefly & set to work. I loved the smiles fresh baked bread or cornbread would bring to people's faces! I was hooked. I've been baking ever since & sell my baked goods at several farmers' markets.
Like my granny, many of my ingredients come from my organic ranch, Kontented Kids. People get a kick out of baked goods made w/ turkey, duck, goose & sometimes even chicken eggs. I grow many herbs, lots of fruit and yummy veggies. My poultry, fowl, horses, donkeys & dairy goats love the greens I share w/ them.
I used to crochet; granny squares and do decoupage (does anyone even do that anymore?). I also sew & sew my own tote bags w/ I screen print w/ my bakery's name. I'm anxious to improve the look of my baked goods; thus I want to take cake decorating classes.
Anyway, the way I say I love you is w/ somthin' from the oven & I've been doing it for many years now.
