I started because I began bellydancing and needed to adjust old clothes from my clothest or thrift stores. Only the first year I sewed by hand, I didn't have a machine then. My mother in law got me a vintage Kenmore for $25 at a yard sale. Score!

I always thought it'd be awesome to make my own day to day clothes, but for some reason thought it'd be harder than it actually is.
I enjoy the peacefullness, concentration, and having to figure out the puzzle to put a project together. I'm just starting to learn crocheting/looming and want to learn to knit as well.
