I hobby as a generic crafter - love everything from water colours and sculpture to egg-box models with my kids. If I can get away with being crafty, I will! I have now given up my teaching career to pursue my crochet, knitting and fibre art more seriously. It is very scary and we are very poor but it is extremely exciting and busy. I sometimes sell alongside my mum at fairs and our motto to interested buyers has become "we can crochet anything"! I love the challenge of working out a new design and ordering the information into a finished object. My crochet heart is with freeform - I expect this is linked to my interest in painting and drawing - and I really enjoy the freedom with colour and texture it allows. I also take great joy in demonstrating and teaching crochet which affords me the opportunity to combine my classroom experience and my crochet expertise together with fun and social meetings with brilliant people.
