My current favorite pasttime is knitting. Grandmother taught me how to knit when I was about 10. I made a sailor collared cardigan for my Barbie doll, with a lot of help from Grandma. I also crochet, done a little weaving on a rigid heddle loom and a few years ago began to spin. In my enthusiasm I have collected way too much roving, top, and about 50 pounds of sheep fleece, raw. I also crochet, done a little weaving on a rigid heddle loom and a few years ago began to spin. In my enthusiasm I have collected way too much roving, top, and about 50 pounds of sheep fleece, raw. Yikes!! I better get to work. Sewing was taught in junior high, and I really enjoyed making clothes for myself, and later for my children. I've also done some quilting and applique, but most of my sewing now is repair work and hemming. I would love to get back to some quilting, though currently I'm enjoying Craftsy's Shuttle Tatting class taught by Marilee Rockley.
