I have sewed ever since a small child in imitation of my Mother who also sewed and crafted. But it really all started in 7th grade with a Home Ec class. There we learned to embroidery to decorate an apron we made and I loved it. I made or copied most of Erica Wilson's crewel embroidery designs and made some of my own.
Then came crochet, then quilting in the early 1970's. I also painted with watercolors starting out in my pre-teen years and off and on until now. I seem to go in phases.
I learned general sewing and tailoring for clothing and I made most of my own clothes through out the late 70's and into the 90's. I even made suits for my son and husband. Made a few dresses and such for my 1st Granddaughter as well.
THEN I learned to make paper, learned to stamp and make cards, and onto scrapbooking as well as jewelry making. So I guess I do a bit of everything. I love to mix medias too. I also bake and cook too! LOL AND I work full-time.
I think I have more ideas for creating things than I will have time to make them all in this life.
