I was basically a naturalist and my motto was learn something new every day! Typically I got real good at a lot of things but became master of none. I loved the out of doors hence I camped(whittling, sharpening) and fished(fly tying), hunted(shell reloading) (3 sons), gardened fire wooded(chainsaw technique,falling trees, sharpening chains), learned small engines,(keeping those small trail bikes going was crucial to a fun weekend) and during this time my at home/winter projects included knitting, crochet, beading, quilting, sewing and mending, rug hooking, plastic jewelry making, making chocolates, cake decorating,(all those birthdays) Christmas decorations, window painting, sugar molds, candles embroidery wood working, baking, cooking, etc. Since my stroke I am less mobile and am fine tuning my sewing skills by quilting. I love, love the free motion quilting altho need lots of practice! The ideas & choices now are endless. My hands could never be still and I appreciated having something to show for my time. I still learn everyday and this craftsy platform is perfect for me
