I love working with my hands.,... like many of us on here I just needed some guidance on how to achieve my goal. My reason behind making a quilt (well for me I need to make a few for those close to me.) I came to this decision after I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer, which later I found out on the table which was within one month of my discovering my illness that I had already was in stage III , very aggressive very rare type of cancer at the young age of 39. I felt that I needed and of course wanted to make something personable and practical at the same time. Something that I knew everyone would enjoy and since I already was disabled with Fibro and back problems I was limited to getting around so this would really be a process of healing for my body, mind ,spirit and defintly my soul. Love to work with my hands, Im a creative person to begin with and pretty good at figuring out stuff on my own I thought well I can tackle this!!! :) Im a outgoing person who loves to make people laugh <3 Ive always done crafts and I even had a few people offer to help me out , but you know schedules are sometimes hard to get organized ,.. bummer* Anyways, I found you all by mistake or maybe I was guided to here..either way I am soo happy to have found you and take these classes & workshops. I am now cancer free 3 yrs down the road!!!!! I was very lucky. Very blessed to still be here with my family & friends. SO, now that I am feeling stronger and can do more during the day because being tired is almost the worst part. Almost. I had a double bi-lateral masectomy with immediate reconstruction surgery. I am happy , my husband is the best support I could ever have in my life. Wonderful people that are in my life..I cant wait to meet anyone on here.. Im easy going and way down to earth. I love to make things out of junk. Yard sales are awsome and I have a herd of cats ( hehe) and dogs , my kids are all almost grown and out the door. So thats my life....so anyone want to ask me questions about anything or just wanting to chat here I am. May peaceful & joyous thoughts fill your day******
