I have always enjoyed creating things. And I learned to knit when I was in the 5th grade when my physical fitness teacher taught and several other girls at my elementary school. I only knew then how to create scarves got bored with doing only this and stopped knitting.
Fast forward may years later, while visiting family out of town we visited a craft store and I saw a 'Learn to Knit' kit with size 17 needles. Having never seen such large needles, I purchased the kit. Began knitting again when we returned to my aunt's house after the craft store visit and immediate got hooked.
Since the advent of the internet, I found there to be so very many knitting patterns and options and began trying some out and became hooked once again. I took a local area class and learned to knit socks, which is my favorite. But also enjoy knitting many other items of clothing, accessories and etc.
I also enjoy sewing when I can.
And I enjoy creating jewelry.
