Like so many, I learned to knit as a young girl but never on a regular basis. Then in 2007, a devastating illness left me unable to speak or walk more than a few steps due to lost muscle control. Confined to a chair day-in and day-out with nothing but my computer, I decided to reach out to people over the Internet for interaction and entertainment.
