I enjoy paper crafts (including cards, bookbinding, and handmade paper), sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, hardanger embroidery, and Japanese braiding (kumihimo). I received most of my early education in Italy, where home economics was a regular part of the curriculum. I learned hand sewing, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint there.
