I've been knitting on and off for as long as I can remember. My grandmother and mother taught me English style when I was a kid, but it wasn't until my early 20s that I really got into knitting. I was staying with a friend from Finland who couldn't bear to watch me struggling to get my needle into my way too tight stitches and horribly uneven tension any longer. She taught me continental and I haven't looked back.
