Hello all, when my children were little I travelled around Europe following my husband and his work commitments, this often left me with a lot of time on my hands as well as a hankering for 'things from home' So I baked a lot and sewed a lot. My first patchwork quilt project was for my daughter, it was made up of heart shaped pieces that were stuffed so the whole quilt was puffed up. I found some heart printed fabric in four different colours and had a lot of fun making it. Sadly, when it was finished I made the mistake of putting it on the washing line in my garden and someone took it. So it never even made it onto my daughters bed.
My children are grown now and I decided to go to college to broaden my beauty therapy skills, we are now in summer recess and I have far to much time on my hands so thought I'd do a bit of spring cleaning and found I have far to much fabric tucked away in odd corners. This site is a god send for me with so many idea's and projects to keep me out of trouble during my long wet English summer.
