I started quilting when my daughter was 10 months and now she is almost 21 years. The classes I took at the high school, we did a different block each week. I have all the blocks, some hand sewn and machine sewn. I have YET to put it together for a sampler for myself. But I am working on it. I have made 4 very large quilts (completed), one I started for my sister's 10th anniversary for 1995. Well at the time I didn't buy enough fabric and it took me a LONG time to find any. So I improvised and bought similar colors and used the wrong side, even got fabric from ladies in Alaska...... Well it started out being a full size and turned out being a KING (that could be why I ran out??). I finally finished it by hand this summer, only 20 +/- years late. But it is beautiful, I will post a photo, it's my favorite block, the log cabin. Now I am making one for my son, I have 5 started with 3 tops complete. Can't stay focused I guess, it's too much fun...... and these classes don't help me focusing, I want to try everything. I love it, so much to do.
