I've been doing cakes for 14 years, started out of home for the first 7 years then opened a shop I call , I Dream of Cakes, it's in West Alexandria Ohio. , My decorating started with doing some cakes on my own in my home for my kids,, then it went from there to friends and co-workers,, in order to put a price on my cakes, i had to get the correct training to do the cakes right,, so I started with some wilton classes, then begun to teach myself through books, and watching demos,, My goal is to become a teacher, I love the craft of decorating cakes, I founded Ohio Sugar Arts cake club, The cake club is for sugar art, we have demonstrations each meeting, we also do hands on classes every so often, it's a lot of fun for the ladies to just get out and be able to talk cake wihtout feeling like your annoying someone,hahah I was also the alternate rep for Ohio Ices for 4 years,, I have also been coordinating classes for Ohio Ices for the past 6 years,, bringing education to our group was important to me, A lot of folks could watch our demonstrations, but the hands on classes really helped others to acheive their goals a lot more..
