My parents were DIY -- If they could do something, they did it. If my dad didn't know how to do something, he learned and he did it. I grew up watching him upholster furniture, rehab cars, sew dupioni silk draperies, install HVAC, build swing sets, remodel homes, hem our school uniforms, plant gardens, and glue together his own resulting wounds. That rubbed off on me. I learn new things all the time.
Right now I run Alisha Goes Around, a hand dyed yarn business. We're expanding into other products, too, in the near future.
