I know my mom taught me to knit, but I am left-handed and she is right-handed, which is why, I think, I still can't get comfortable either way. But my goal for 2012 is (still) to knit a pair of socks.

I know my mom taught me to knit, but I am left-handed and she is right-handed, which is why, I think, I still can't get comfortable either way. But my goal for 2012 is (still) to knit a pair of socks.
But my real yarn-love is crochet. I know I learned that from my (left-handed) neighbor, and it has always been one of my favorite crafts - so relaxing for me.
I also started cross-stitch in my early 20s, and it is also one of my go-to crafts. My friend, Robin, helped me get started on cross-stitch, and my first project was a picture of a unicorn that I still have.
I picked up jewelry-making (beading), scrapbooking and cardmaking just a few years ago. I'm in the buying stuff but not making a lot of stuff stage in those, because...
My other goal for 2012 is to make a quilt - and I'm hooked on that right now. I have four projects going right now, including the Craftsy BOM. My friend, Marilyn, and I have been getting together almost daily since March, and we're both still loving it!
