Hmmm getting difficult to remember, but likely learned to sew at Mama's knee. Her 1952 Singer 221 Featherweight was her only machine for the first 12 years of her marriage... so that's what I learned to sew on. no time for hand work... If it couldn't be sewn on the little machine, then is didn't get sewn! If it couldn't be sewn on the little machine, then is didn't get sewn! Made my first "Trip Around the Word Quilt from Mom's shoebox of 2" squares at age 16, And don't forget those patchwork, drawstring, bell bottom pants... Skip through about 20 years of of a big 'ol bidness career to about 10 years ago when I got bit by the quilting bug, Also started collecting and refurbing old sewing machines.
So here I am... loving my old machines, and making quilts as fast as I can..
