I have been sewing since I was 11 years old. My mother sewed but never quilted. My grandmother quilted, and I have some of her quilts but never got to see her make any. I never even went to the IQA Quilt Festival here in Houston until about 2000 when someone told me it wasn't just quilts--they have all sorts of interesting booths.
