I was given the crafting bug when I was only 5 or 6 during a three year stay at a German school in the suburbs of Munich. By the time I left aged 8, I could knit, sew, crochet, embroider and basket-weave, amongst other things. By the time I left aged 8, I could knit, sew, crochet, embroider and basket-weave, amongst other things. Those skills or interests have never left me (although I am yet to try my hand at basket-weaving again!), but they have sat on the back-burner while I pursued a very corporate career in the City.
In the last year, I have abandoned London for the countryside, had a baby and reawakened my love of all things crafty, especially crochet. I'm a bit gutted I left it so long, but I'm not going to let it get me down!
So many projects to get on with, lost time to make up, creativity to reawaken ... and a lovely baby boy to take care of ... how lucky am I!!
