My cake decorating (very small) home business started with my mom enrolling me in the Wilton classes at Michael's and kind of took off from there. These days, i do at least 3 cakes a month, mostly for friends and co-workers. My 2 girls and husband enjoy being my official taste testers and cleaning up any scraps for me. I love a challenge and my clients have been ready to provide those opportunities for me. While most of my cakes are fairly small (will feed 10-15 people) I have done a few wedding cakes and recently made a cake for my hospital for an event there.
I'm a pretty busy girl, but i wouldn't want it any other way. Hope you enjoy looking at my cakes. I know Ive found lots of inspiration from other Craftsy members and the online courses have been fantastic. Just need my friends to throw bigger parties so I can make bigger cakes for them.

The Cake Nymph
P.S. I have a bit of an obsession with dragonflies. They have been messengers from the divine my whole life. A nymph is a baby dragonfly and I thought a fitting symbol of my fledgling business. Although i must admit, I do kind of like the naughty connotations as well.
