My cousin started me quilting last year 2011. I really admired her quilting and wanted to make a quilt for my new grandchild that was on the way. Well to cut a long story short and several long visits with my cousin she taught me how to machine quilt and I ended up with a lovely quilt for my granddaught who was born in March this year. I have now well and truely got the quilting bug, I have made a few small things since but now have started on a queen size quilt. My two older grandchildren have also asked me to make them bed quilts so we have designed and chossed the fabric but that is as far as I have got at the moment. I have rheumatoid arthritis and throught I would never be able to make lovely things again but my cousin proved me wrong and here I am and getting round any difficulties that crop up due to my hands not doing what I want them to do at times. That is my little story of how I started quilting and my progress so far. Very much looking forward to doing the course.
