I always loved art and craft projects.. But I started learning cake decorating from my mother over 30 years ago. When she couldn't do it anymore I received all her cake decorating things. I always loved art and craft projects.. But I started learning cake decorating from my mother over 30 years ago. When she couldn't do it anymore I received all her cake decorating things. But I had the best little girl 24 years ago that really inspired me and that's when I got busy I was on a budget and very tight budget so I made up some frosting to play with and I also stated my daughter out early learning too she had a blast with it. But we would sit there and just make different designs on a board and try different things with the tips.. We came up with some pretty good stuff that we use today still. The best was making roses on a toothpick it also easier because you can really get your bag and tip under the rose you are forming and you get a better looking more fuller looking rose at that point. We both now decorate cake on the side for fun its brings so many smiles to everyone we have done a cake for! Don't be afraid to try something different with a tips or technique make it your own!! But most of all have fun doing it!!!!
