My mother taught me how to crochet when I was twelve, at the time we only made blankets and pot holders and only with one stitch! 14 years later I discover there is more to crochet than making blankets and using the double crochet stitch and I dove into making and designing my own amigurumi and plushies.
However it was my younger brother who got me interested in knitting! He learned via youtube and I thought hey if he can do it why not me....I failed miserably but would not give up. Since I started crocheting first it did not make sense to me to knit the traditional American way, it seemed like a waste of time, but continental knitting made complete sense especially with my crochet foundation. After an exhausting week I finally figured it out thanks to a Craftsy class with Stephanie Japel and I must say I love it!
My focus now is to continue my design of crochet plushies, and once I have knit enough garments I will try my hand at knit design (^^,)
Happy Crafting!
