My crafting days started when I was about 7 or 8 years old and I learned to knit a hat. My crafting days started when I was about 7 or 8 years old and I learned to knit a hat. Unfortunately it never got finished as my baby brother pulled the stitches off twice and I couldn't face casting on 144 stitches a third time! When I was 11 we learned to sew at school. My mum sewed and knitted so the lessons continued at home. I took to sewing in a big way but I'm not a fast knitter so knitting is a sometimes craft. 7 years ago I discovered beading and it's been a big part of my life since. I've done a little bit of cross stitch and crochet and I recently took the shuttle tatting class here and am now doing the quilting Block of the Month. Now that I'm a mum I'm also helping my daughter and son with their crafting projects.
