HI! I am Jodi Hesting of Beadworx.com.
I am an instructor and artist living in beautiful, gorgeous, and almost-always-sunny.... Arizona.
I am married to the most wonderful husband in the world!
I have two teenagers and two fur-babies that keep things interesting around here and fill my life with joy and adventure! I love spending time with my family and friends, camping, exploring, and doing pretty much anything outdoors, and of course I love to CREATE!
I have been an artist of many different media since a very early age. In school and college I took every art class I could find. I have tried my hand at silver-smithing, painting, drawing, pyrography, wood-turning, poetry, seed-beading, ceramics, leather-work, stained glass, and even crochet!
Not a day goes by that I don't have the incredibly strong desire to make something or have ideas swimming around in my head just waiting to get out!
If my hands are making something, I am pretty much happy!
In 2001 I discovered the art of "lampworking", or torch-working with hot glass. It has changed my life! No other art form has captured my heart as working with hot glass! I feel as if I have found my calling in the art world!
Of course coming from a family of pyro-maniacs probably has something to do with my love of playing with fire! haha!
I have made so many friends and even gone on to teach others this art form through classes, tutorials through my website, magazines, and books.
I love to share and pass along what I know because so many others did the same for me when I first started out!
