When I got married 31 years ago, my husband had furniture so I sold the furniture from my little flat and bought a sewing machine and that was the beginning of a wonderful journey. I have always recycled worn out jeans, duvets etc. making them into usable tablecloths and trows for the children to play on but with my first grand child 5 years ago I went on a beginners quilting course and that was it I am hooked. I work so I don't have as much time as I would like to quilt but make the most of the time I do have. I belong to a group who meet down the south coast in Amanzimtoti called Masterpiecers and a guild in Glenwood called Tollgate Quilters run by Phil Fisher. These woman inspire me and encourage me. I have a very supportive husband, 4 children and 5 gorgeous grand children.
