My mom has always been a quilter and sewer; and my grandmother was a knitter, so I think the desire to create was always something around me. I did lots of embroidery when I was a kid, but my father' sister taught me to knit when I was 11, and then my father's aunt taught me continental style knitting when I was 17. In between, about 13, I taught myself to bead, and started working on peyote bags and other stuff like that... I have always given in to the desire to make things.
