I started sewing when I was seven years old and have just gone on from there. I am an expert quiter and taught in quilt shops until I retired from teaching in August of 2010 to spend more time on my own projects. I am a contempory quilter and surface design artist. I am known as "The Thread Lady". I also knit and make jewelry---especially watches. I am a wholesaler for a number of companies, including Superior Threads. I do not have a website because I don't have the time to maintain one. I do have a blog, but it ia being revised. I am a thread painter (meaning I do machine embroidery without an embroidery machine). I also am starting to design art clothing and have a number of other crafting interests. I have a dye lab in my basement and dye and paint my own fabric and sell some of my dyed fabric. I dye cotton, silk, and yarn and pearle cotton, mostly for my own use. However, I do sell some to friends and other people who have seen my fabric and would like some of it.
