I have enjoyed crafting and sewing all of my life. As a teen I made many of my clothes. I made my first quilt over 40 years ago when I got married. I didn't have a clue what I was doing. The marriage is still going strong, but the quilt has fallen apart. About 12 years ago I started taking quilting classes. My first class was a hand applique class. It took 8 years to complete my Prairie Flower (by Barbara Brackman). It was a struggle, but now I love hand applique and am a member of two chapters of The Applique Society. During the last couple of years I've renewed my interest in crocheting and embroidery also. I always have a choice of projects by my chair to work on in the evening.
