I learned to sew using sewing books and remembered watching my mom sew when she was alive.
I had to finish a quilt that mom started for her oldest grandaughter after mom died and them I made a Grandma's Flower Garden quilt for my father with the fabric that mom had purchased. Boy what a project! There were thousands of tiny hexagon to trace cut and sew. I quilted it on my machine back in the mid 1970's.

Boy what a project! There were thousands of tiny hexagon to trace cut and sew. I quilted it on my machine back in the mid 1970's.
I made most of my girls clothes for school and all of their Dance/Prom dresses and one wedding dress and a special flower girl dress for my second daughter's wedding.
I retired last year after 29 years of teaching elementray school and enjoy quilting and regular sewing.
