I have been crafting in one form or another all of my life. Growing up in the 60's, my siblings and I were always making things, enabled by our parents. We were more practical than 'crafty'. We made some of our clothing, my Dad built some of our furniture, we grew some of our food even though we lived in a city, we fixed our own cars - it was how we lived. I have been crafting in one form or another all of my life. Growing up in the 60's, my siblings and I were always making things, enabled by our parents. We were more practical than 'crafty'. We made some of our clothing, my Dad built some of our furniture, we grew some of our food even though we lived in a city, we fixed our own cars - it was how we lived. DIY before that phrase came into being.
Currently I am focused on quilting, knitting, and photography. Two out of three children are in college. My husband has built just about all the furniture that will fit in our house, so he has turned to photography as an outlet. We enjoy traveling, especially to places with great geological features, and where we can hike or snowshoe to beautiful viewpoints, mountain tops, waterfalls or canyons.
