I was lucky enough to have a Grandmother that enjoyed many crafts. Although, she quilted just a little, she peaked my interest by her love of needlepoint, cross stitch, knitting and crewel. I think I got a little of that gene. YEAH!
I have dabbled in counted cross stitch for a few years and a tiny bit of knitting and recently, red work. I enjoy working on it in the evenings. My Grandmother had a habit of always keeping her hands busy....hopefully, I got that too! However, my love of quilting crept over me a couple years ago and it is my passion. My husband, who is full time military and my Mother In Law, have encouraged me from day one. She been a quilter for over five years and showers her creations on family and friends. We have been very lucky recipients~
I plan to continue improving my knowledge and skill due to my love for it. Hopefully, I will build a successful business from this passion and can help others less fortunate than me. I am blessed to live in this country and the gifts it gives me, every day. I look forward to admiring all the talent and creativity around the world! I am happy to share encouragement and whatever I can that may help others, even if I am a quilter with training wheels!
