I enjoy sewing and knitting, and am a metal clay artist. My grandmother made all my clothes when I was little, and also taught me to embroider. From there I took up sewing on my own. With a background in art history and interior design, I have been fortunate enough to have always been involved in creative work. When I began knitting, this led to my career as a metal clay artist in my quest to find the perfect buttons and shawl pins for my knitted items!
My goal in teaching is to give my students the tools to take off on their own. Metal clay is such a magical material - it truly seems like alchemy. Once the basic skills are acquired, it's easy to transform your ideas into actual precious objects. I hope you have a chance to explore this fabulous new medium.
