I am a classically trained artist still exploring all the avenues of artistic expression. My graphic design agency supported me and my two boys for 5 long years until the "big crash" when everyone's graphic designer was the first to go. I used the failure as an opportunity to expand. A few years later, I came upon my grandmother's extensive collection of beautiful (and not so beautiful) buttons. I was struck with inspiration and decided that using them to adorn hand made pocketbooks and handbags. I added some beading and costume jewelry to cement the retro vibe. Now, 2 years later, I have expanded into jewelry making which is what lead me to Crafty.com I love the couture sewing and jewelry making classes. The teachers are first rate. Obviously accomplished at what they do but also able to explain it in a clear manner in which new comers and old pros can benefit. Im a Craftsy believer!
