Hi! Well let me start off by saying THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU for even taking a second of your day to read about me! I, like many others, have fallen into that "let's make our hobby into something due to all the extra time I have now from unemployment woes" BUT - don't get me wrong, I'm not letting the woes drag me down becuase this is exactly what I would love to be doing 24/7! Growing up, my family didn't have a ton of money and with that in mind, I would find what ever I had around me to make it work for what I really wanted. There isn't anything in the world that i don't take the first look at and not envision some other neat use for it. SO...with all of that in my mind, bringing that idea to a cake for my husband birthday was pretty fun. We didn't have a lot of money so I used different containers to make "molds" and different candy items for my decorations because that was all I could afford. It wasn't a real masterpiece but when it was all said and done - I couldn't wait for another celebration for a cake. Being apart of a large family and plenty of guinea pigs at my work...I have been blessed with many opportunities to try out different surgary treats. I am self taught but would love to take a few courses from the professional to fill in the blanks, but in the mean time...I'm on my own for anyone that would love one of my creative confections! I'd love any and all critiques, suggestions, comments, and or helpful tips that anyone would like to share - we all learn by experience and there are tons of experienced crafty friends out there to help all of us get to the next step!
