My mother was always sewing something--as well as cooking and baking. She was a teacher, but she had summers off and those summers were always filled with projects. It is because of her that I desired to do the same thing; because her creations instilled a wonderful feeling of security somehow, and I wanted to pass that on to my family. I have been traveling for a few years, but now I am settling down again and instinctively I want to return to crafting. My areas that I enjoy are gardening, cooking and baking, and sewing. I'm also interested in refinishing furniture. I'm so excited about finding the Craftsy community, and I'm eager to start taking some classes and posting my own creations to share.
