I got my start sitting on my grandmother's lap and operating the knee peddle on her old Singer while she worked as a seamstress...must've been 3-4 years old. Such happy memories! I owe my knitting and crochet skills to my paternal grandmother, who was determined to make a lady out of her unruly, tomboy granddaughter. I'd like to think she succeeded....somewhat.
