I am an avid sewer, and quilter and am into embroidery, knitting and crochet. I saw the Couture Dress class and had to take it. I watched almost the whole thing, the day I bought the class and am now so excited, I've been dreaming of couture sewing every night. I went on-line and ordered a used dress-form in my size and have arranged to spend 2 hours with the seamstress at a local fabric store to get the measurements/adjustments on to the dress form to make it "me." (Oh, I wish I had a sewing buddy near by!!!) I've been sewing and crafting since I was a little girl. I made all of the costumes my kids wore for Halloween's and school plays, etc. Now, I'm excited about sewing for myself. I can't wait for the pattern to come and to find just the "right" fabric for me. I went browsing a few stores, but am planning a jaunt to the fashion district in downtown LA to find the exact fabric I want to use. I'm so excited about using all of the techniques, underlining, alterations, adjustments and everything else she goes over in the class. I can't wait!!!
