I've always enjoyed being creative: drawing, mosaic and paper mache in my teens, and in recent years I've been painting as well as discovering textile arts: I'm an avid knitter, and I learned the basics of weaving while I was living in Lafayette, Indiana, from the women of the Wabash Weavers Guild. I now live in Dublin, Ireland (though I'm actually a native Belgian), with my very own 4-shaft loom, teaching myself more weaving techniques. I've done some hand sewing, but finally got a sewing machine last weekend, and now I can start my first traditional quilt with the helpful Craftsy classes. I fell in love with americana folk art, and I left a piece of me on the Indiana prairie and with the people in the Midwest, so sometimes crafting is a way for me to keep in touch with those memories.
